- Hardware: FPU (80x87) required. Pentium or higher processor is recommended.
- SOLEX5 computes high precision ephemerides over the time span -4000 +4000 by
numerical integration, whose starting conditions are read from the library
files PL*.BIN. The output very closely matches the JPL DE406 ephemerides.
Ephemerides for over 10000 asteroids can also be computed.
- FINDORB2 is a program for orbit determination based on numerical integration.
The program inputs observational data of a Solar System body and outputs the
best fitting starting positions and velocities (and classical elements).
The computed starting conditions can be fed to SOLEX5 to produce ephemerides.
The two programs share the data files PL406B.BIN, ASTERB.BIN, PL406B.DAT.
- TED.EXE is a small video text editor used by FINDORB to edit positions files.
- SPEEDUP.EXE is an utility to increase the speed of the executable created if
the source code SOLEX5.BAS is recompiled using Microsoft QB or PDS.
- No installation is required. Simply copy all files in the same directory.
- For documentation see SOLEX3.RTF, SOLEX5.RTF and FINDORB.RTF (RichTextFormat)

in commercial software without the explicit consent of the author is forbidden.
