[Properties]

Nobelium is the heaviest of the Group VIA elements. It is very near the
end of the transuranium portion of the actinide series. It is a transuranium
element because it is an element heavier than uranium, and it is an actinide
because it belongs to the series of elements between actinium (element 89)
and lawrencium (element 103).
