Dear Shareware User,

PC-Navigator will not be the last, but might well be the finest menuing
system available for a DOS based PC. Beyond menuing it contains a toolset
including an editor, file manager, calendar, calculator and more. It even
tracks the sun and moon, and automatically maintains the PC's clock through
daylight-savings-time changes!

PCNAV11.EXE is the first shareware release of this product! In its non-
shareware form, PC-Navigator has been on the market for the last three
years. It has recently been enhanced to accommodate DOS 6.x, DoubleSpace
and InterLink. It is a proven and solid product.

PC-Navigator was originally designed as a fast, non resource intensive
menuing system for an XT that would enhanced DOS rather than trying to hide
it. Enter "PCNAV" on your command line and up pops its main menuing window
right on top of but not hiding your DOS screen. Run menu items and the DOS
screen remains in view.

From its snappy looks, you might never guess that PC-Navigator is based on
batch files. As a result it takes no permanent RAM memory and only 350K of
disk space, and is highly compatible with all versions of MS-DOS, DR-DOS
and Windows including NT. It is not a "TSR" or "shell" and therefore can
even load and unload TSRs.

PC-Navigator was designed to run simultaneously above and below Windows (or
any other shell) giving you the best of both worlds. Run games that
Windows will not support outside, run multi-command items like backups
inside, and still have your full DOS collection in both places.

This shareware version is a fully functional program with no hidden
surprises. It includes a context-sensitive help system. Registration at
$12 brings an activation key, password protection, an optional 80 page
typeset manual ($8), updates, and written and E-Mail support. Phone
support is happily given on a part-time basis 9-5 M-F WST based on our
availability.

We package PC-Navigator on disk as an INSTALL.EXE, a packed PCNAV11.EXE,
this README and optionally a VENDOR.DOC and FILE_ID.DIZ. A bulletin board
might post PCNAV11.ZIP which includes all of the above files, or
PCNAV11.EXE by itself. If ZIPPED, first unZIP. Then either run A:INSTALL
causing PCNAV11.EXE to unpack itself and to complete the setup, or run
PCNAV11.EXE and follow the instructions for unpacking and setup.

Thank you for evaluating PC-Navigator. You have a program that will
perform for years to come.

Sincerely,

R. Alan McFarland
