This is ProPC 96
version 0.15

Most of it's feature are their, not 100% fonctionnal but there.
Many more features will be added in the futur.

To install it, run INSTPPC.BAT.

This batch will:

extract PPC96-1.EXE to C:\ProPC
extract PPC96-2.EXE to C:\ProPC\icons
extract PPC96-3.EXE to C:\ProPC\sounds

Then will create the directories and all and update your system files.

If youre installing a full version of ProPC and had another one
on this computer before, it must be fully deleted, or the C:\ProPC
directory must be renamed BEFORE running INSTPPC.BAT

1-Use of Files

*File Types

Their is no way to attach extentions to programs (well there is,
but not in the program. If you want to attach programs to extentions,
so you can view them from ProPC, edit the PPCEXTS.INF file. The first
line is the extention, the second the description, the 3rd the file
with full path to open this type of file.

Of course this will be done from ProPC in next release, with the list
 button (that does nothing now).

*Copy, move, trash

To Copy, Move or Delete files, 1st Select them, then click on either
copy, move or delete buttons (little icons on them say what they do...)

For Copy and Move, when you have selected copy, you have to go in
the directory where you want to copy (move) the file, then press ENTER.
This will change, I'll make it better I swear.

When you delete a file, it goes into the Trash Can. You can access the
can when entery Trash Mode (reffer to *Modes later in this document).

*View,Execute,Properties

To Execute an executable, or to view a document that as a application
attached to its type (lighted on the screen, opposite to graved ones)

If you want to use parameters, select the file, then press the
'Execute with Parameters' button (the 1st at the left).

To view a text file (any), select it and press the 'Edit' button (2nd)

To view a file properties and attributes, select it and press the
'Properties' Button (3rd, with a magnifier glass on it...)

*File Extentions View

To use wildcard to see only one file type, click on the extentions
button, higher left cornet, just next to the 'Source' Button.

Then Enter the extention you wish. Enter '*' or nothing to see all
 files.

2-Browsing around your machine

*Basic Raw Browsing

The directories appear in yellow, click on them to go into them. Click
on the '..' directory to move one level higher.

The 'Source' button will get you to the root dir of the current drive.

To select a drive, click on its button.

*Modes

ProPC works in 2 modes. Computer & Trash. Computer mode is the default,
normal mode where you use files, execute programs, etc.

When you delete files, they go into the Trash Can, wich you access
 by going into Trash Mode.

To select a mode, click on the modes button, higher Right Corner.

In the trash can, the copy, move and delete buttons are replaced with
a recycle, delete and empty button.

The recycle button recycles a selected file.
The delete button wipes a selected file.
The Empty button empties the whole can.

2-Customizing

To change ProPC's appearence, click on the UI button (the computer with
yellow hair and make up heh ), then choose your options by pressing
the number next to your choice.

You cannot change the sounds for now, sorry.

3-Configuring

*Drives

ProPC will find any new drives (except floppies) on your Computer.
But it can not (yet) determine the type.

To change a drive type, or to remove it right click the drive's button.
Right Click an empty button to add a drive (your floppies?).

*ShutDown Options

Change the shutdown options by right-cliking the shutdown button,
at the lower-right corner of the screen.
