DESCRIPTION:

The Wake Eye program watches for changes in directories. User can make
a list of the directories (up to 99) and specify their parameters: path,
alias, files mask, directory kind, log- and wav-file. If an event occures
(file is created or deleted), the Wake Eye program writes date and time of
this event to the specified log-file and play the wav-file (if specified).
It uses directory alias instead path if the alias is specified.

INSTALLATION:

Copy the WAKEEYE.EXE file to any directory on your hard drive, create
a shortcut to it. You may place this shortcut to STARTUP shortcuts group of
the START button menu.

HOW TO WORK:

      1. Run the Wake Eye program. On the system tray will appear an "Eye"
icon. Double click on this icon and work with main window. (To minimize this
window back on system tray double click this "Eye" again.)

      2. Choose "Add" from the "Directories" menu to add an empty record to
the directories list. Alternatively, you can click "+" toolbar button.

      3. Choose "Options" from the "Directories" menu (or click "sheet"
toolbar button) to specify the directory options. You must enter the
directory path and optional directory alias and files mask. Use "inbound"
and "outbound" checkboxes to specify the kind of directory. If you choose
"inbound" - Wake Eye will register only file creating events, if "outbound" -
only file erasing events. Mark both checkboxes if you want to register both
file creating and erasing events.

      4. Choose "LOG-file" from the "Directories" menu (or click "cassette"
toolbar button) to specify LOG-file name. Wake Eye will write date
(yyyy.mm.dd), time (hh:mm) and path (or alias if specified) with names of the
files to this log-file.

      5. Choose "WAV-file" from the "Directories" menu (or click
"loudspeaker" toolbar button) to select a WAV-file to play if an event
occures.

      6. IF YOU WANT TO ADD NEXT DIRECTORY TO THE DIRECTORIES LIST
         THEN GO TO 2.

You may delete directory record from the list. Simply select record
in the directories list which you want to remove and choose "Delete" from
the "Directories" menu (or click "X" toolbar button).

Select record in the directories list and choose "View" from the "File"
menu to run NOTEPAD with specified log-file.

If you want to terminate watching for directories events, choice "Exit"
from the "File" menu (or click "STOP" toolbar button).

UNINSTALLATION: Erase the WAKEEYE.EXE file from your drive.
