Web Site Statistics V 1.0.x (c) 2000 Mr D Wilson
RegisterWebstat@educe.demon.co.uk
Access 97 is (c) 1989-1996 Microsoft, Inc.

NOTE:
This is the first release. It has been working since Apr 1999.

ABOUT:
The program is designed for a Demon ISP user to display
statistics extracted from bwusage.txt (provided by Demon
for all it's users) in a graphical format. It may be
suitable for other ISPs that use a text file for server logs
but this will depend on each ISPs format. If it is not directly
compatible, it can be modified by Educe to make it compatible.

INSTALLATION:
Run the set-up program and follow the on screen prompts. Accept
the default folder (it will not work if you don't). Once the
program has been installed, copy the bwusage.txt file to the
default folder "C:\Program Files\webstsat\". You will need to
download an up to date copy to display current data. Run the
program from the icon that is automatically created in the start
folder, programs, Webstat folder.

UNINSTALLATION:
Run the uninstall program by selecting Add/Remove Programs from
the Windows Control Panel.

USING Webstat:
Open the main window by clicking on the shortcut found on the
"Start" button. The program will update itself based on the content
of the bwusage.txt file. If this has not been updated since the
program was last run a message to that effect will appear. Click
on the relevant button to view whichever graph you want to see. It
was designed for a 1600 x 1200 pixel screen so you will have to use
the scroll bars if you use a lower resolution. The bwusage.txt file
often has errors in its format. When these are encountered
(missing / or ,) the error line will be displayed and you can then
manually change the entries that will be stored. You may decide to
edit the txt file instead but the errors will be there next time you
download an updated copy. You only have to manually update the data
once as old data is not processed.
