* OS5_390.Z  : SCO Open Server 5.0 driver for DC-390/T
* OS5_390W.Z : SCO Open Server 5.0 driver for DC-390W/U/F
* => Steps following take OS5_390.Z, i.e., DC-390, as the example. If driver
* for DC-390W/U/F is to be installed, replace OS5_390.Z with OS5_390W.Z.
*******************************************************************************

os5_390.z is a compressed file which is the image of Unix driver diskette.
In order to install Unix driver, a 1.44M diskette must be prepare first from
this file. follow the steps below:

. copy this file to a DOS formatted diskette by typing "copy os5_390.z a:"

The next steps shall be accomplished in Unix. Take SCO Open Server 5 for
example:

. in Unix, type "doscp a:os5_390.z os5_390.Z" to copy the image file into Unix.
  (Note: Unix filename is case-sensitive!)
. decompress the iamge file by typing "uncompress os5_390.Z", and the file
  os5_390 is created.

Then prepare a 1.44M diskette. Assume B: is 1.44M floppy. Insert diskette
in B:.

. type "dd if=os5_390 of=/dev/rdsk/f1q18dt"
				    |______ means drive B:, 0 for A:(f0q18dt)

And the Unix driver diskette is prepared.

* SCO Open Server Release 5 driver Installation
*******************************************************************************
Two different installation procedures are described separately. Use the
one fit for your environment:
<1> SCO UNIX has been installed on a non-SCSI boot drive.
<2> SCO UNIX is to be installed from scratch on a SCSI drive attached to
	DC-390 series adapter.

<1> Driver Installation for an installed SCO UNIX system on a non-SCSI
    boot drive:
. Boot SCO UNIX into administration (single user) mode.
. It is necessary to make a backup copy of the working UNIX kernel in case
hazardous conditions take place after driver is installed and system
      booted from new kernel.
	  cp /unix /unix.ok
. Insert BTLD driver diskette into floppy drive and either click system
administration icon in windows or type 'scoadm' in terminal. Then
select the software installation to install the driver package.
After the driver installation, kernel will rebuild itself.

<2> Installation of the SCO UNIX along with DC-390W/U/F driver
. Insert system diskette N1 to boot from floppy.
. When boot prompt is shown like the following:
	  Boot
	  :
Type the following command to proceed:
	  link
. When the system asks for the name of the driver package, type
	  tps5 <---- for DC-390/T
	  tpsw5 <---- for DC-390W/U/F
. The system would keep on booting from floppy N1 and then request to
have driver diskette inserted into floppy drive. Do this as requested.
After driver is successfully loaded, follow the normal procedures
to install the SCO UNIX. In the process of installation, driver
      diskette may have
