Introduction:

The QDS.PPE is a replacement to the PCBoard's D command. QDS is a combination
of a search and a download PPE with some very special capabilities. The big
improvement of QDS.PPE over the internal D command, is that QDS let you choose
files with * and/or ? and select the wanted files, with options such as moving
to next area, stopping the search upon user's request once the wanted file has
been flagged, and much more.

QDS was tested for more than a year on the largest BBSes in Israel, with
DESQview, DOS, OS/2, PCBoard 15.2 up to 15.21 and over 4000 users.

We, at the Israeli PCBoard Center are proud to deliver this fine product
and hope you will find it useful.

Features:

 Supports * / ? for files selection.
When a user writes files * and/or ? in the download input, the QDS moves
to search mode, and asks the user to flag or not flag every file it can
  find.
Supports jumping to next area in search mode.
Supports stopping and and entering a new filename for download in search
  mode.
Supports quit searching and go directly to download.
Shows the FILENAME, SIZE, DATE and first line description of each file
it can find in search mode.
Supports Full description of file in search mode.
Shows an online update of the user's bytes left for download, time left and
  number of files flagged.
 Supports full colors configuration.
Supports files shortcuts, i.e. /ALL for ALLFILES - Can be configured in
  the .CMD file.
Supports configurable windowed help file in search mode.
Supports an option for continuing searching if the user has entered a
specific filename for download in the CMD file.

Installation:

First you have to configure the .CMD file that comes in this package:

Note that the Use of the PCB @X codes are allowed.

/MULTI=OFF	Set it to ON if you wish the PPE to continue searching for a
second file if the user entered a specific file name, i.e
ALLFILES.ZIP - that means that by default the PPE stops
searching after the first match was found.
		The default is OFF.

/KBDSTUFF=ON	Set to OFF if you don't like the PPE to stuff the "D" command.
		Default Is ON.

/AUTOFLAG=TRUE	Set to FALSE if you don't like the PPE to auto FLAG the file if
		a user entered a FULL name & ext i.e: ALLFILES.ZIP - if
AUTOFLAG is set to FALSE then the user will get the "Tag ?
		[Y]es .." line.
		Default Is TRUE.

The /MULTI /KBDSTUFF & /AUOTOFLAG are optional and RESERVED. Do NOT USE them
as ShortCuts.

Shortcut configuration:

Shortcut Description Full Path and Filename
-----------------------------------------------------------
/QDS QuickDownloadSystem PPE ?C:\PCB\DL01\QDS.ZIP

And so on.

After you've configured the .CMD file, you should install the PPE in your
CMD.LST file.

Note that the QDS.PPE and the QDS.CMD can be renamed but BOTH have to be
located in the SAME directory and must have the same name : i.e

if u rename QDS.PPE to TAG.PPE u have to rename QDS.CMD to TAG.CMD
