X-Finder Cosmetic Package No.3
                                         Gaku Nakagawa
                                         RXF10242@nifty.ne.jp

o Features

This package contains following data and program.
  - Data set for adding the built-in PIM applications and disk
drives to the palmtop (or other) screens of X-Finders.
  - A program for adding the programs registered in APNAME.LST
and MOREEXM.INI to the palmtop (or other) screens of
    X-Finders.

Usage on X-Finder R.9 or newer is recommended, where the
synchronized handling of virtual names is implemented.

o Setup

XFP3.ZIP is uncompressed into the following files:

  xfp3 .txt	User's guide
pims .lzh	Command files for built-in PIM applications
drives .lzh	Symbolic link files for disk drives
xfp3 .exe	Program to create command files for EXM
		programs
  xfp3 .c Source code
  xfp3j .lzh Original (Japanese) documentation

o Add built-in applications to the Palmtop (or other) Screen

Use X-Finder to copy the command files you want to add, from
PIMS.LZH to the Palmtop (or other) Screen.

Command files in PIMS.LZH all have a file size of zero byte,
for maximum utilization of the limited disk space.

If you use an environmental file of R.7 or earlier, then you
need to add the following line to the "Execution by matched
  file extension" section.
  .xfk	,e/	,%x

o Add disk drives to the Palmtop (or other) Screen

Use X-Finder to copy the symbolic link files of the drives
you want to add, from DRIVES.LZH to the Palmtop (or other)
  Screen.

This function works in X-Finder R.8 or newer.

o Add EXM programs to the Palmtop (or other) Screen

X-Finder R.9 (or newer) can launch EXM programs by placing
link files on the Palmtop (or other) screen. This feature is
not limited to the EXM programs added to APNAME.LST and
  MOREEXM.INI.

XFP3.EXE creates command files for these registered EXM
programs. Each command file has a size of zero byte for
  saving disk space.

Running XFP3.EXE will create the command files for all
the EXM programs currently added to APNAME.LST and
MOREEXM.INI. Use X-Finder to copy those files you need to
  the Palmtop (or other) Screen.

If you use the environment file of R.7 or earlier, then you
need to add the following line to the "Execution by matched
  file extension" section.
  .xfl	,/	,$x %x

o Tips

  X-Finder R.9 or newer supports nested multi-level
palmtop-like screens. You may want to use this to make your
own icon launcher. This is based on the feature that the
screen is displayed in the same manner as the Palmtop screen.
if the full path contains a character '^'.

If you want, for example, a submenu screen for launching
various games, then create a directory "game^" and place a
symbolic link file to it on the Palmtop screen.
