FlickerBox.m2v is an MPEG-2 MP@ML video elementary stream that
visually illustrates if your DVD player software is working properly.
Specifically, it tests whether or not your player is displaying NTSC
fields individually (ie. you get a true 60 images per second out of your
DVD player).

To use this file, simply open it with your player's File -> Open dialog
and look at the screen. (Rename the file to *.MPG if necessary.)
The box in the center of the screen is supposed to be divided into two
halves that flicker. If the center box looks like a solid gray box,
or if it looks like a series of lines that do not flicker, then your
player is not displaying all 60 images per second.

Some players require turning on a feature called "hardware acceleration"
or "hardware motion compensation". For example, PowerDVD 4 requires
this option to display the flickering box properly.

This file can also be burnt to a DVD-R/-RW/+RW and tested in a set-top
DVD player, but doing so is not recommended as it would waste 99% of
the space on the DVD blank. Instead, wait until MindCandy is shipping
and just use the screens on the disc.
