1. RELEASE NOTES - LIMITATIONS OF THIS RELEASE

a.  No DirectSound
    This driver does not support DirectSound.

2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  IBM PC AT Compatible
  Pentium class CPU (Intel P5, Cyrix or AMD), 100MHz or higher
  Microsoft WindowsNT
  Minimum of 16MB free hard disk space
  Minimum of 16MB RAM (32MB recommended)

3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 


Plug & Play environment: (with ISAPNP.INF pre-installed)
========================

  Power On the system after inserted the Sound Card into a 16 bit slot.  OS
  will detect the Sound Devices and prompt for device driver. Set the path
  to A: or driver letter which contain the desired device driver to install
  the device, repeat the procedure until all the sound devices are successfully 
  installed.

  Next, reboot the system to take effect of the newly installed drivers.


Non-Plug & Play environment:
============================

System preparation:

  4.0: Removing Previous driver revisions

        The first essential step is to remove previous audio driver revisions
        using Windows NT supplied tools.  
 
        Verify that you have the sound card in your system.

    4.0.1  Open the Control Panel/Multimedia folder. 
       	   Click "Devices" to view the list of installed devices
           Open "Audio Devices" , click once on the Analog Devices driver
       	   Click "Remove"
           A warning dialog box will ask you to confirm, Click Yes. 
       	   A System Setting Change dialog box will confirm the driver removed,
           and ask for a restart. 
           Click "restart now"

  4.1: Installing NT drivers 

     4.1.1 Open the Control Panel/Multimedia folder. 
           Click "Devices" to view the list of installed devices.
           Click "Audio Devices" and the "Add" button.
           Select the "Unlisted or Updated Driver" entry, click the OK.
           the "Install Driver pop-up requests to insert the driver disk,
           into A:\, click OK after insert the NT driver disk into A drive.
           The "SC16-3D 16_Bit Audio Driver" appear under "Add Unlisted or 
           updated driver" screen, click OK. 
           The "SC16-3D 16-bit Audio Driver" pop-up the default settings, 
           Click OK and the Configure Sound Card pop-up will appear. Next,
           click the Install Button when prompt to configure the Sound Card
           and finally the OK Button.

           Restart Windows NT on the target system to take effect of the
           new drivers.

           You have now successfully completed the installation.
