  The Sytos Plus installation requires tape drivers to reside in the
  directory called SYFILES.  For installation instructions, refer to
  the users manual.


  NOTE:  You must have a tape cartridge inserted in your tape backup unit 
         during the Sytos Plus installation, otherwise the Sytos Plus 
         tape backup utility will not operate properly.

                       I N S T A L L A T I O N

  
  The SCSI Miniport Tape Driver(SDAT.SYS) is required if you
  have one of the following tape backup drives installed in your 
  system:

   . MDAT 2000/E
   . MDAT 8000/E
   . IDAT 2000/E
   . IDAT 8000/E

  The SCSI Miniport Tape Driver has been qualified for use with the 
  following SCSI host adapters:

   . ISA SCSI Xelerator
   . MC SCSI Enabler
   . CC16 SCSI Enabler
   . Adaptec 1742
   . IBM SCSI Host Adapter

  To install the SCSI Miniport Tape Driver follow the instructions
  below:

  1. Boot from your Windows NT Boot drive.

  2. Run the Windows NT Setup program located in Program Manager's Main 
     Group.

  3. Select "Add/Remove SCSI Tape Devices" from the Options Menu.

  4. Press the "Add" button.

  5. Choose "Other (Requires a disk from a hardware manufacturer)".				  

  6. Enter the location of the Procom Technology SCSI Tape Drivers 
     Diskette.  For example, "A:\".

  7. Choose the appropriate Tape Class Driver for your tape drive.

  8. Choose the default path to the Tape Class Driver.  The default for 
     this example is "A:\WINNT".
