Section III SETTING UP A MONITOR TYPE IN THE VOYAGER CONTROL PANEL
              AND CENTER UTILITY
=====================================================================

    The following list of generic monitor types is provided to allow you
    to select the proper monitor setting in the Voyager Control Panel.

    You must refer to the monitor timing section of your monitor's
    user manual for horizontal and vertical sync(refresh) rates. A selection
    from the list should be made that matches the horizontal and vertical
    sync rates defined by the monitor's user manual.

    If an exact match cannot be found, select a monitor type that does not
    exceed horizontal and/or vertical sync timing of the monitor to be used.

    WARNING: SELECTING THE WRONG MONITOR TYPE MAY CAUSE THE DISPLAY TO
    LOOSE SYNC, FAIL TO DISPLAY VIDEO, AND/OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MONITOR.

    THE USER IS STRONGLY URGED TO READ THE MONITOR'S USER MANUAL PRIOR
    TO SETTING A MONITOR TYPE.

Section V Lotus 1-2-3 and Lotus Symphony Driver Setup
=====================================================================

    The drivers are designed to work with Lotus 1-2-3 Version 2.0, 2.01
    and 2.2 and with Lotus Symphony Version 1.0 and 1.1.

    To install the Lotus drivers, follow this procedure:

    1. Install drivers using either DOS INSTALL DISK or WINDOWS
        INSTALL DISK to your 123 directory.
    2. Go to your 1-2-3 directory and start the installation program.
    3.  Type    INSTALL<ENTER>
    4. The Lotus installation program will load and present the
        installation menu.
    5. From this menu, select ADVANCED OPTIONS.
    6. From the ADVANCED OPTIONS menu, select ADD NEW DRIVERS TO LIBRARY.
    7. From the ADD NEW DRIVERS menu, select MODIFY CURRENT DRIVER SET.
    8. From the MODIFY DRIVER SET Menu, select TEXT DISPLAY.
    9. From the TEXT DISPLAY Menu, select one of the drivers.
    10. After the selection of the appropriate VGA display driver, you
        will need to exit this menu and return to the Main Lotus
        Installation Menu. Do this by selecting RETURN TO MENU.
    11. At the Main Lotus Installation Menu, select SAVE CHANGES.
    12. At this point the Installation Menu will prompt you for
        the name of your new Lotus configuration file. The Lotus system
        will prompt you with the default value-- 1-2-3.SET. You do not
        have to use this name, however. You may want to use a filename
        that indicates the resolution of the driver it contains. For
        example, if you installed the 132 column by 25 line driver,
        you could name this driver 132X25.SET. Or if you installed the 80
        by 50 driver, you may want to call the file 80X50.SET.
    13. The installation of your Lotus 1-2-3 driver is now complete.
        You will need to exit the Lotus installation program at this
        point. At the main Lotus Installation Menu, select EXIT.

        Note: If you use a different name of the driver set than 123.SET,
               you have to remember to place the filename of your driver
               set on the command line when you start Lotus 1-2-3. For example,
               if you named your driver set 132X25.SET, give the following
               command to start Lotus 1-2-3:

                   123 132X25.SET<ENTER>

Section VIII  Autocad versions 11 & 12
=====================================================================

    Linear vs. Non Linear
    ---------------------

    The procedure below will install two drivers into Autocad:
            1)  SVCXL1/2
            2)  SVCXL2/1 Linear

    Driver #1, 'SVCXL1/2' uses memory paging technique for video
    display.

    Driver #2, 'SVCXL1/2' uses linear memory addressing to increase
    performance.

    Generally speaking, you will have better performance with choice
    #2, SVCXL1/2 Linear

    Installation
    ------------

    Install the drivers using either the DOS INSTALL DISK or
    WINDOWS INSTALL DISK, to your Autocad DRIVER directory.

    Always install the drivers in your Autocad Driver subdirectory,
    for example, '\ACAD\DRV'. Do not install the drivers in your main
    Autocad directory  (ie \ACAD).

    Autocad 11
    ----------
    Install will create a batch file FASTACAD.BAT in the driver
    directory. Run this batch file each time you start your
    computer to configure environment variables for the new
    display drivers. This file is created in the driver directory
    you specify when you install Autocad drivers.

    Autocad 12
    -----------
    Users of Autocad Version 12 should not run FASTACAD.BAT. Use
    ACADR12.BAT that gets created when you installed Autocad.

    To reconfigure Autocad to use the new display drivers:

        1.Always run the FASTACAD.BAT file after you have restarted
          your computer. (if using Autocad 11)
        2.Type ACAD -r [enter] to reconfigure Autocad. (or ACADR12 -r if
          using Autocad version 12)
        3.Choose 'Configure Video Display'
        4.Select 'Y' to select a different video display.
        5.Choose the ADI P386 V4.0/4.1 Display (Autocad 11)  or
          'TurboDLD Lite by Panacea Inc.'(Autocad 12). You will see
          an introductory screen welcoming to to TURBODLD.
        6.Select 'graphics board/ resolution'.
        7.Select 'Select display graphics board'.
        8.Select 'SVCXL1/2'.
        9.Select 'select display resolution'.
        10.Select your desired resolution/ color depth
        11.Select 'Return to previous menu'
        12.Select 'Save & Exit'.
        13.Follow the instructions on screen for other Autocad Options.
        14.When you get back to the configuration menu, select 'Exit
           to drawing editor'.
        15.When prompted to 'keep configuration', select 'Y'.

    To reconfigure the display resolution.
        1.Type ACAD -r [enter] to reconfigure Autocad. (or ACADR12 -r if
          using Autocad version 12)
        2.Select Graphics/Board resolution choice and press ENTER.
        3.Select display resolution choice and press ENTER.

Section IX.................................Notes on RAMSpeed Utility
=====================================================================
    The RAMSpeed uiltity is used to tune the performance of the
    Boca Voyager. It allows you to adjust the memory access speed of
    the Voyagers on-board memory.

    When increasing the memory speed, make sure that your system
    has an adequate cooling system. Running the Voyager at high
    speeds and higher temperatures may cause problems in display
    due to local bus timing paramaters and other system related
    issues.
