                           DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The Contribution Tracking System (CTS) is a detailed program
for organizations who need to track the contributions made
to the organization by individuals or other organizations and
print statements for those who gave. You may set up different
funds to allocate monies to and track pledges or commitments.
CTS offers an attractive, friendly, menu-driven interface.
Almost any printer is supported. A hard disk is recommended.
CTS will run on color as well as monochrome monitors and
offers mouse support. There are other reports available such
as birthday reports and labels (1,2, or 3 across). Updates
are planned and we are accepting suggestions for the future.

         BANDICAT SOFTWARE'S WISH LIST :

Vendors, all we ask from you is that you send us a short
letter or email if you plan to include us in your library.
We will build a list from this and keep you up to date with
the most current version of CTS. So why not take a little
time to drop us a line? This will hopefully benifit both
of us. If you do notify us, please tell us how you would
like to receive our updates (email, snail mail, etc.).

                              CTS QUICK SETUP
         ___________________________________________________________

These are some important steps to help you quickly set the
defaults for CTS - Contribution Tracking System V 1.05.

Step 1 : Select 'Setup Menu' From the Main Menu of CTS.
Select 'System Setup' from the Setup Menu.

If you have a Color Monitor answer 'Y' to the first question.
If you have a Monochrome Monitor answer 'N'.

Fill in the Label Size as follows :

                1 : 1-Up Dot Matrix Labels ( 3-1/2 X 15/16 )
                3 : 2-Up Laser Labels ( Avery 5161 )
                4 : 3-Up Laser Labels ( Avery 5160 )

Fill in the Word Processor you will be using as follows :

                'WS' : WordStar
                'W2' : WordStar 2000
                'LE' : Leading Edge
                'WP' : WordPerfect

NOTE : Fill in the number of lines on the Page you will
normally be printing to. Normally this will be 60
for a Laser or 66 for and Dot Matrix. Any other
value here could cause the program printouts to be
                 useless.

Fill in the type of Printer you will be using. This
code will be 'D' for Dot Matrix or 'L' for Laser.
This code will only affect the printing of reports.

Step 2 : Select 'Printer Ports' from the Setup Menu.

Choose which printer to send reports to and then
choose which printer to send labels to. The printer
may be the same for both reports and labels.

Step 3 : Press Escape to return to the Main Menu.

Step 4 : Choose 'Status Codes' to add whatever Status Codes
that you would like assign to the givers. Press
Escape to return to the Main Menu when you are done.

Step 5 : Choose 'Givers' and proceed to add Giver information.

NOTE : If you get a message that there are to many open files
you will need to change your CONFIG.SYS to include the
                lines as follows:

                FILES=35
                BUFFERS=30

After you make these modifications you will need to
reboot your computer. If these lines all already in
your config.sys but are at a different setting, you
will need to raise the numerical value of these
settings to the ones described or to a higher number
                until the program runs.

That's all there is to getting started. Print or view the CTS
Manual in it's entirity to learn how to add contributions and
print the various reports that CTS has to offer. HAVE FUN!

Oh, by the way, send in your suggestions on a seperate piece
of paper. We are constantly updating this software and we need
to know what you would like to see in future versions.
