Thank you for trying out the Global Diary, an easy-to-use diary program
which can be used immediately without a manual or complex menus.
This version is written for 16-Bit Windows but also works in '95.

Directions for use:

1. Every time you run Global Diary, you will be prompted for your user
name and a password. If you lose your password, you will no longer
be able to access your entries, so be sure to remember it.

2. During the initial run of Global Diary, you will be prompted to enter
your preferences. Choose "OK" when you are satisfied with your choices,
however, you may access them at any later time if you change your mind.
Again, be sure to remember your user name and password.

3. The right mouse button gets you all the operations that you will need
to use the program, experiment with them. Clicking on the map with the
right mouse button gets you the diary functions and clicking on your entry
    gets you some editing functions.

4. The program is quickly minimized with a quick double-click on the entry
    area.

Some enhancements:

It is our intention to keep the number of bells and whistles to a minimum
in order to still be able to claim the "easy-to-use" tag. The changes
made were all requested by people who have downloaded Global Diary and
contacted us with these suggestions, and we were able to implement them in
an intuitive fashion, so we did. Your comments are welcome.

1. A search function has been added to find occurrences of complete words
anywhere in your journal. You access it, again, with a click of the
right mouse button and by selecting the "search" option that appears
in the list. If the name or word is found, a box similar to the "Go
to Date" box appears with the results. Double-click on your choice.

2. The ability to change your password. This can be done from the
preference form. Please be sure to note your new password as you will
lose access to your diary if you haven't got the right one.

3. The ability to print an entry. At the same time your privacy is
protected by the requirement for a password for any printing from your
    diary.

4. A calendar function as a method for viewing and organizing
your previous entries. Right mouse click, and "Go to date" gets you this.

5. On-line, context-sensitive help.

Registering Global Diary:

Why register?

First, is the program useful? Does it perform a task that you find valuable?
Of course you'll get that good feeling that comes with "doing the right thing",
but you'll also get fast responses to questions via e-mail. In the case of the
32-bit version, you get a really fast opening and saving time (there are plans
for this on the 16-bit version). And you always be able to get the most recent
version at no extra charge.

Pricing.

Whether you purchase through the mail, via check or money order and have the
program mailed back, or register on-line with a credit card or by other means,
the price will be the same; $17.95. Initially we tried to charge a base price and
add charges for shipping and disks, or on-line registration fees. Finally (a)
it became too complicated and (b) one couldn't actually purchase the program
for the base price anyway, unless they came here and picked it up personally.
Very few people do that nowadays.

So, regardless of method of registration the price is $17.95. This can be mailed to:

Note: Please note which program you are ordering and whether it is to run on
Win95/NT or Win3.1/3.11, that is, 32-bit or 16-bit.
