1. The purpose of the program.

The s5 program emulates a minimal subset of a s5 like plc. It
interpretes a ascii file with valid instructions. It combines
these instruction with inputs and sets output signals. 
Use the program to learn to program plc like devices. You
will experience on how to use logic operations. You can also
connect a io hardware to switch electronic devices according to
your instructions and input signals.

2. How to install the program.

Just unzip the archive contents to any directory you like.
The actual program you need is the s5.exe file. Small documentation
is available in readme (english) and s5.htm+readme.s5w (german).

3. The status of the program (Public Domain, Freeware, or Shareware).

The program is under GNU public license version 2 or higher.

   distributable or limitations on distribution.
You are free to use the program for your own. I won't be liable for any
results of the use of the program or any files or documentation that
are included. Any use for milirary purpose is not allowed.
