This is a trial version of the program RandomData.

It is an early version, and feedback is welcome.

To install, use WinZip, or other tool to unpack the program, you may put it into any folder you choose, for instance C:\RANDOM\.

Then run the program by double clicking on RandomData.exe.

You may also make a shortcut to the program, and put this on your desktop.

What RandomData does:-

RandomData is a program that generates realistic looking data. It makes records as comma-separated data, which can easily be inserted into databases, such as Microsoft Access.

It makes database work more fun! It is intended for anyone working in the field of Database utilities, as a quick method of making test data - testing with real looking data, rather than dull auto-generated values.

The fields it generates can be chosen easily, with a simple tick box. You can choose fields such as Identity, name, address, email address, value, date, and film title. For fun, the film title can be specified as a Carry On film, or a Dr Who title! The values are consistent - so a name you choose also ends up in the email, if you chose both fields.

The identity numbers are generated to fall within a certain range, and be unique, so you can generate a key upon this field, and not worry about duplications, and yet still have them be randomly ordered.

Note that the variation in fields varies - there are only so many first names a person can have! On the other hand, fields like towns, and email addresses can have millions of values, since they are generated.

**Shareware limitations**

The shareware version does not offer new updates, and limits you to 250 records generated at a time. The full version has no limits, so can generate millions of records in minutes, and costs $100, or equivalent currency. Currently I only take cheques, or money order. Email me if you would like the full version.

Depending on popularity, I may offer credit card facilities in the future.
