1. Product Description
----------------------

Microscope 2.0 is a desktop utility, which allows you to examine
actual pixel arrangements on the screen. It shows magnified portion
of the screen pointed to by the mouse cursor, which is extremely
useful in tasks like:

  - Designing user interface - Microscope helps you to precisely
    position, size and align UI components
  - Creating and tuning graphics for user interfaces, web applications
    or presentations
  - Anywhere you manipulate graphics and your software doesn't offer
    appropriate zooming functions  
 
Features:

  - Hot spot feature for precise mouse positioning 
  - Grid feature, which helps you to control object alignments 
  - Ruler feature for measuring pixel distances 
  - Fast visual feedback on precise mouse movements achieved by
    the Windows hooking technique 
  - Attractive and efficient user interface 
  - Reduced CPU utilization 
  - Activation from the system tray 
  - Full uninstallation support    

System requirements:

  - Windows 95/98/NT/2000 
  - Mouse or other pointing device 

Microscope version 2.0 is upgrade of version 1.0, which only employed
the original idea and didn't offer any of the features listed above.


2. Copyright
------------

Microscope 2.0 is shareware. This means that you can test it free
of charge. You may also distribute it to others so they may try it.


3. Installation
---------------

To install and optionally launch Microscope 2.0 on your computer, run
Micro20.exe, specify your preferences and press the Install button.


4. Hints
--------

- You can drag the Microscope window with the mouse just like any
  other window.
- A popup menu can be activated by pressing right mouse button either
  on the Microscope window or on the system tray icon.
- It is a good idea to have Microscope started automatically
  on Windows startup (it's the default setup setting) so it can be
  quickly activated from the system tray. In hidden state, Microscope
  consumes only little memory and no CPU time.


5. Registration
---------------

If you like the program and find it useful, please register.
Registrations can be obtained online (in a matter of minutes) and
the fee is $10. To register, follow the instructions on Microscope 2.0
