iNETstore Evaluation Version 4.4a

1. Purpose

iNETstore is an off-the-shelf e-commerce package that allows you to put your shop or catalogue on the Internet without the need for programming. Templates can be fully customized by anybody who has some HTML knowledge. While iNETstore is cost effective, your online shop or catalogue will look nothing like an off-the-shelf solution.

iNETstore comes with database maintenance and web server software. You can develop and test your store on your local PC before uploading it to your ISP using the iNETstore send-to-server wizard. Updates can be done easily. Just use the database maintenance utility and send changes to the Internet automatically. Have a look at the many existing stores that have been built with iNETstore!

2. How to install the program

- Check whether you have 32 bit ODBC installed. This should be installed if you have Microsoft Access. If it is installed, you should see the '32 bit ODBC' icon in the control panel.
- Run the iNETstore setup program
- Double-click on the iNETstore Server (Dolphin) icon to start the server.
- You will need to change the password. Go to Options | Server Options | Orders and Logs. Enter a new password, shut down the server and re-start it. It should now run in the background (see icon on the task bar)
- Start up you web browser, right-click on the iNETstore Server icon on the taskbar and select 'browse stores'. You should now see a listing of sample stores.

Trouble Shooting

- Set your browser to 'online browsing', even if you are not connected to the Internet. If you are not connected to the Internet, but have a start-up page that's located on the Net, you might have to change this.
- If you are using a proxy, enter the following IP address as an exemption: 127.0.0.1
- If you have another web server running, such as Microsoft Personal Web Server, the standard port (80) might already be used. Try to point your browser to: http://127.0.0.1:81. You can also try out different ports such as 8880, 8881, etc.
- You can change the ports iNETstore Server is listening on by starting iNETstore Server and going to Options | Virtual Servers. Just click on 'Add' to add a new virtual server. Note: This demo version only works with the following IP address: 127.0.0.1

3. Status of the program

This is a fully functional evaluation version with the following limitations:
- The iNETstore server has to be re-started every 30 minutes
- Online shops and catalogues created with this version can't be uploaded to the Internet
- This version contains a limited number of templates and stylesheets
This software never expires.
