Win95/98/ME/2000/NT 4.0 or above. 

Description: 
------------
Electronic Assistant Professional 2004 is a SHAREWARE Personal Information Manager (PIM).
Your information is managed in nine main modules using 14 utility modules. The main modules
include an Organizer, Journal, Collections (Inventory Module), Schedule (Alarm Module), 
Agenda (Itinerary Module), EMail, Database, ToDo and Today (Overview Module). Electronic 
Assistant Pro also include a backup utility, calendar, statistics and a ScheduleViewer. A
one way Palm sync utility module has been added to this module.


Installation (not upgrading):
----------------------------
To install Electronic Assistant Professional, you will need to have Winzip or a compatible compression/extraction software installed on your computer. 

Double-click on the downloaded archive (e.g. EA2004.zip)
Your unzip software will display the contents of the archive
Click install from the unzip menu to install Electronic Assistant 

Or if you downloaded Electronic Assistant in multiple files

Extract the files to a temporary folder and double-click on the file Setup.exe in
that folder to install Electronic Assistant.  

Upgrading to EA Pro 2004
-----------------------
Before upgrading to Electronic Assistant 2004, backup your data using the Backup feature if you're using Electronic Assistant 2.0 or later. If you're upgrading from Electronic Assistant 1.0, backup your data by copying the files in your data folder to a new folder before uninstalling it. After backing up your data, uninstall your version of Electronic Assistant using the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs. Then, install Electronic Assistant 2004.

Note that if you're using version 4.0 or later you will need to backup each users/profile separately if you have created additional users.

For example:

if you are using Electronic Assistant 4.0:
--------------------------------------------
		1. Select Backup from the "Tools & Utilities" list
		2. Select the default Radiobutton
		3. Perform a BackUp by selecting "Backup Data"
		4. Uninstall Electronic Assistant 4.0 using the control panel Add/Remove programs
		5. Install Electronic Assistant 2004
		6. Select Import from the "Tools & Utilities" list to import all of your Electronic Assistant 4.0
                   records into Electronic Assistant 2004

if you are using Electronic Assistant 3.1.1:
--------------------------------------------
		1. Start BackUp
		2. Select the default Radiobutton
		3. Run BackUp by selecting Backup Now
		4. Uninstall Electronic Assistant 3.1.1 using the control panel Add/Remove programs
		5. Install Electronic Assistant 2004
		6. Select Import from the File menu to import all of your Electronic Assistant 3.1.1
                   records into Electronic Assistant 2004

Note: Make sure you select the correct version of Electronic Assistant when you import your data. To determine what version of Electronic Assistant you have, check the Electronic Assistant main menu.

if you are using EA 1.0:
------------------------
		1. Start Windows Explorer
		2. Navigate to the Electronic Assistant 1.0 folder
		    the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\
		4. Create a new folder called "MyEAData" [without the quotes.]
		5. Copy the files in the Electronic Assistant 1.0 data folder to "MyEAData".
		    the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\Data\
		6. Uninstall Electronic Assistant 1.0 using the control panel Add/Remove programs
		7. Install Electronic Assistant 2004
		8. Use the Options module to import all your Electronic Assistant 1.0 records. 

Don't forget to register Electronic Assistant after installation.


UnInstallation
------------
To uninstall the program, use the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel.
